Sunset Suites

The pool, cleaning crew, and bar were all outstanding, and the hotel offered excellent service. The place worked well for us, with a convenience store and beach close by. The rooms were okay, though they could use a microwave and more shelves or cupboards. You could say the air conditioning should be included, but the hotel isn't very expensive compared with others in the area, so I understand leaving it up to guests whether they want it.

The pool was lovely and the staff were cheerful and friendly. We had a nicely sized room with comfortable beds and a balcony. The interior needs updating, though. The toilet seat was scaly, minimal, and old, and the cookware didn't match. A trip to somewhere like IKEA would be an easy way to refresh things.

This may be the worst hotel you can pay for in Platania. Air conditioning costs 7 euros a day, and without it there's no airflow in the room. They provide kitchen utensils, but if you want even somewhat clean dishes, you have to buy your own cleaning supplies. When we arrived, there was leftover food on almost everything, so we had to clean all the kitchen items ourselves. Save yourself the headache and don't rent a room here. I wish I could give this trash facility negative stars.

Restaurants and the beach are both close by, which made the location a real plus. The apartment was clean and the beds were okay. The kitchen could use more equipment if you want to cook your own meals, though there are a few basics. A nice holiday stay, especially for the price.
