Casa D'Irene Deluxe Hotel

The staff were accommodating when our flight was delayed and we arrived around 2 AM. Reception was closed, but they'd given us an on-call number beforehand, and after I called they checked us in promptly without any trouble. The Classic rooms in our group weren't all identical, with small differences in size and layout, though that didn't affect our stay. Casa D'Irene | Deluxe Hotel is cozy, with fresh, modern, comfortable rooms and a nice outdoor pool and bar for relaxing after a day out. Breakfast was complete and very good, especially outdoors. It's also well placed for Falassarna, Balos and Elafonissi, each about an hour's drive away. We had a lovely stay and recommend it.

The room and hotel were newly renovated to a high standard, and service was excellent. Our room was cleaned daily, the restaurant waiter was attentive, kind and professional, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Reception staff were lovely and let us keep the room for two extra hours. Still, the room we received nearly ruined the holiday. The booking photos showed a family room by the pool, but we were given a basement room with two windows. One looked onto the corridor by reception, so corridor light came into the room at night and the blinds didn't help. Noise from reception and the corridor could also disturb sleep. The other window was high on the ceiling and faced a narrow alley and another house's wall. We asked to move rooms but were refused. We were very disappointed, and I think the description should explain these details. If we'd known, we might have chosen another hotel. The photos didn't match the room we got, so ask for a detailed room description before booking.

We stayed for five nights in a room right by the pool. It was very clean, breakfast was great, and the staff were friendly and charming. My husband left his passport behind, and the team even sent it to our next stop in Crete since it was too far for us to come back. We're so grateful, thank you all!

The pool, bar and lounge make a peaceful spot for an afternoon aperitivo, and the rooftop hotel has a quiet layout that helped us sleep well. There's an elevator, and parking for 8-10 cars is a five-minute walk away. We came to Crete for the first time to celebrate my birthday with my partner, and couldn't believe what a gem we found. Eirini, Eleni and Dimitris were fantastic hosts who made us feel at home. At breakfast we got to know Batman, the sweet, gentle local cat who loves his food. The hospitality, food and vibes were all wonderful. We're definitely coming back 😍🥹
