We had such a welcoming stay, and the staff were consistently kind and attentive. Athina deserves a special mention for greeting us with a smile and always being ready to help. When we realized on the way to the port that we’d left our passports and money in the lock cage, the driver quickly called the hotel and brought us back carefully. Our belongings had been sealed in an envelope, which the manager handed to me personally. Platis Gialos is a lovely beach with calm water, and the bus stop, about two blocks away, made it easy to visit Mykonos city. We had a few lunches on the beach, where the choices were good and prices reasonable. The hotel’s sunbeds are a nice perk, though guests rush out early to claim them and the staff don’t stop it, so you end up having to join in. The bar has a great beach view, and the patio room area is full of plants and flowers. Breakfast offers plenty, but some dishes weren’t to our taste, like the very oily scrambled eggs. We had an amazing few days here.

It’s become our summer tradition to come back to Acrogiali Beach Hotel Mykonos, and we’re already looking forward to next year. The people here have come to feel like family. At the front desk, Eudoxia (Eva), Athnia, and Maria are always welcoming, and the beach and bar team, Pantelis, Thodoris, Phil, Panagiotis, Maria, and Ivan our bellhop, make us feel at home every time. We love starting the day with breakfast by the water. The buffet is a favorite, especially the freddo cappuccinos, and lunch on the beach is worth making time for. Their Greek salad and chicken souvlaki are our island favorites. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had beautiful water views. The hotel sits right on Platis Gialos beach, with restaurants all around, and Nammos and Scorpios are about a 10-minute walk away. Pantelis always takes great care of our beach setup. It’s a real gem, and we couldn’t recommend it more.

The only thing I’d change is the waterproof mattress covers, which felt cheap and made the bed too hot for a place of this quality. Once we took them off, the bed was really comfortable. The sea view rooms are fantastic, breakfast is great, and the modern rooms are well equipped. It’s right on the beach, with comfortable sunbeds and a handy button to call for service. In high season you’ll need to get up early to get a sunbed. The free pick up and drop off at the ports was a great start to the stay.

From the hotel you’re right by Mykonos’s turquoise water, and the location couldn’t be better. Mykonos town is an easy, short bus ride away. I’d recommend it to anyone.

The free ferry shuttle was excellent, and breakfast was fabulous, with lots of choices. Between the beautiful rooms, fantastic beach, and exceptional staff, I’m surprised this place isn’t rated five stars. I’d highly recommend staying here.
