The only positives were that the rooms were clean and close to the beach. Otherwise, I was very unhappy with the stay. I’ve traveled a lot since I was young and stayed in plenty of hotels and rooms, but this place is hard to know where to begin with. The room was extremely small, with nowhere to put a suitcase except on the floor. The bathroom was very slippery, so be careful. The coffee machine couldn’t be plugged in where it was, and when we asked, we were told to move it to the bedside table and plug it in there. There was no help with bags or much else at check-in. A woman just handed us the key and pointed us toward the room. Before arrival, we specifically asked about parking and were assured there was a space just below the room for guests staying in Petra 1,2,3. When we got there, every spot was taken. The problem upset me and other guests, who had to get involved, move cars, and try to sort it out. The manager, Athena, couldn’t handle the situation or speak appropriately to guests, including me. She said things like “you’re creating a big fuss about it”, “there is tension”, “don’t contact or speak to other guests here”, and “other guests are older than you so you have to respect this”. We were told to give her time to resolve it and that she’d call back, but she never did. They waited until some guests left days later to free up a parking spot. After all that, the apology was just “sorry and tell us if we can do anything for you…”. We hardly saw anyone during the stay, then they suddenly appeared at checkout to say we were late, should leave, and move the car. If you want to pay 1750 EUR and be treated like this, this is the place!
