We only stayed one night and wished we’d booked longer. The location was excellent, and the staff were super helpful. I can’t remember the guy’s name, but he really went above and beyond.

The room was cleaned every day, and the location, breakfast, and prices were all great. They even provide free sunbeds. The fridge in our room didn’t work, but they let us use their own, so we sorted it out. If we come back to the island, we’d stay here again. I’d definitely recommend it.

Right beside the beautiful Aegean, Lodge Narlis felt calm, friendly, and very clean. Giannis and Effie looked after us with an easygoing warmth, and the rooms were comfortable. The food and drinks were delicious too. We’d be happy to return.

Platys Gialos has some lovely beachside restaurants, and Apollonia is well worth an evening visit for food and shopping. We also got to join a ceramics workshop on Giannis and Effie’s farm near town. We left with our hand-painted pieces and a real sense of achievement. Our ground-floor room, Frini, was just right, with a comfortable bed, fridge, kettle, and enough utensils for a light meal. Vines and bougainvillea draped over the terrace. There’s also a small café serving breakfast, drinks, and snacks during the day, and we really liked it. This little place on the beach in Platys Gialos used to be a working pottery, and Giannis and Effie have lovingly turned it into a handful of rooms and an apartment. They’re a warm, friendly couple. You can fall asleep to the sound of the sea here and get an authentic Greek experience. We’ll be back.
