Mykonos Dove Beachfront Hotel

The staff were genuinely lovely, friendly, and ready to help with anything. They made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. I really wanted to love my stay, but the room was a letdown for what I paid. It felt old and neglected, with rusty fixtures, outdated decor, and a general griminess that took away from the island’s charm. The hotel needs a serious refresh. I appreciated the excellent hospitality, but the room’s condition made my time in Mykonos less enjoyable than it should have been. With such high rates, I expected better upkeep and quality.

The bus stop is just steps away, and Scorpios was a fun, amazing 15-minute walk. The hotel was comfortable, welcoming, and beautifully maintained, a lovely place to unwind after exploring. Staff treated us like family with their kindness, humor, and warmth. They generously provided fresh and beach towels and shared great suggestions for places to visit around the island. We also enjoyed Anios Restaurant, where both the food and service added to our stay.

We spent three nights at Dove Beachfront Hotel in the “Relax Suite with Private Pool.” The room was extremely outdated and smelled strongly of mold, especially in the bathroom. It was hard to breathe inside. The pool was dirty and hardly private, with only some plants separating it from other rooms. I doubt it even had a working cleaning system. We killed two huge cockroaches in the room, and since the windows have no insect screens, opening them to air the room meant inviting bugs in. Breakfast was average at best. Although it was supposed to start at 8 AM, most things weren’t ready until after 9:30. We had also booked the free port transfer, but it arrived 45 minutes late. We were left waiting in the sun with our luggage and no update. The hotel calls itself beachfront, but we felt like second-class guests on the beach. We were assigned to the last row and weren’t allowed to choose our spot, and staff tried to crowd more guests right beside us. The beach manager was extremely rude, acting as though we were there for free when we were paying over €500 per night.

Really good beach resort, with great service and fair prices for the sunbeds. We paid 20 euros each on October 21st, no rip-off prices like I’ve heard about at other resorts.
