I booked two nights in room 13 on the garden floor, and the bed was so bad I could feel every spring. I told the manager, Ms. Soultana, shortly after checking in, but she flatly refused to come down and look at it with me. She said previous guests had stayed there without complaining. When I mentioned seeing a similar complaint online, she said it was about a different room. The discussion went on and tensions rose; she seemed to want to escalate things, but I managed to stay calm. I offered to pay for the first night and leave in the morning, but Ms. Soultana refused, saying stays under two nights weren’t allowed. Her choice was to pay for both nights and stay, or leave immediately without staying. I’d checked in around 8-9 PM, when there were only three places available on the whole island, the closest an hour away. I was on a motorbike, which she knew, and getting there by motorcycle wasn’t feasible or secure. It also seemed unlikely she could find someone else to take the room that night, but she wasn’t interested in finding a middle ground. Don’t stay on the garden floor, or better yet, don’t stay here at all. Very few of the property’s photos show that floor. It’s a standard guesthouse otherwise. The AC worked well, and the fridge was fine. There were kitchen appliances, but little counter space, a wardrobe with few hangers, mostly makeshift wire ones, and only one power outlet by the bed. It’s not by the sea and there’s no direct beach access.
