Heliotropio Studios & Apartments

The location made it easy to get to the beach or walk into town. We had a lovely breakfast selection, and dinner at the restaurant was delicious, freshly prepared and very reasonably priced. My partner and I stayed at Heliotropio for four nights in Milos, and everything went well from the moment we arrived. The staff were attentive, friendly and ready to help, so we felt comfortable right away. The room was clean and tidy, and the whole place was refreshed regularly. Great value for money!

The setting is excellent, right on the water and within walking distance of downtown, but the stay didn't live up to it. The accommodation wasn't worth the price, and cleanliness was a serious problem. The floors were dirty, the towels and sheets didn't feel fresh, and there were dead bugs and spiderwebs in the room. Although daily housekeeping was offered, basic items like soap weren't replenished. We asked the host several times about the cleaning, but nothing got better. The staff didn't seem properly trained. We stayed in the Boat Studio. With the front door closed, there was no natural light, and the bathroom door wouldn't shut flush, which made the space feel cramped and uncomfortable. On our first night there was no hot water or air conditioning. The host responded quickly and replaced the AC unit the following day. The delayed ferry made us arrive late, and the hot water issue was blamed on that. Nothing online mentioned that reception closed at 8 PM, so we couldn't have known in advance. The hot water failed again on our last day. The location was the only real highlight. Cleanliness, communication and basic comfort were disappointing.

My friends and I adored our stay in this beautiful, very Greek accommodation. The owner, Anastasia, was friendly and so helpful. She suggested beaches, restaurants and things to do, and the rooms were cleaned every day.
