V-rooms in Milos Cyclades

Vinessa is amazing. She works around the clock to make sure guests are looked after, always with a smile. You can tell hospitality is a real passion for her. The location on Milos overlooks the Aegean Sea, and the rooms are comfortable. There's also a great restaurant and cafe here. A true gem!

We'd happily stay again. The host was fantastic, and we had a nice balcony over the ocean, cool AC, and rooms cleaned daily. The location, breakfast, and rooms were all great. My only complaint is the morning shower ran cool, and seemed to heat up only closer to midday.

The location was decent, about 5-10 minutes from Pollonia, which seems to have potential. If you have a car, Plaka or another hotel around 10 minutes away might be a better place to stay. V-Rooms in Milos also has potential, and I hope they take this as constructive feedback. I stayed four days in July after booking in March through Booking.com. At the time, there were only a few reviews, but they were positive. Communication was a problem from the beginning. I messaged right after booking to confirm and ask for extra pillows, but heard nothing. Email and WhatsApp got no response either. A friend had received a confirmation email, so I tried that same address without luck. I didn't hear from them until the day of the reservation, and by then I was worried I'd nearly fallen for a scam. Arriving at night was confusing since there was no V-Rooms Milos sign. I found the place only because a review said it was above the restaurant where breakfast is served. The room was almost perfectly prepared, and the first night was fine. Parking, though, was a block away, with no sign that it belonged to the hotel. When I got back to the room, they told me they couldn't provide the two extra pillows I'd requested months earlier because they didn't know where they were stored. Breakfast was at their restaurant, served from a menu rather than as a buffet. It wasn't clear how much we were allowed to order, perhaps because of the communication or language barrier. After breakfast, staff had rearranged our things in a way we didn't want and turned off the AC. It was 90F/30C in July, so that was uncomfortable. We thought it might be a one-off and went out for the day. But when we returned, room service had switched off the AC and moved our belongings again. By bedtime the room was like a sauna, and we couldn't find our things. It felt like having a controlling "mom" around. On the third day I left the balcony doors open, hoping the room would be cooler when we got back, but room service had shut everything again and it was still a sauna. Cooling it down took two hours each night. The bathroom also had problems. There was nowhere to put shampoo or soap except on the floor, and the shower had no glass door, so water spread across the whole bathroom. Dispensers would be an easy fix. The bathroom door was glass too, which meant the blackout curtains couldn't darken the room properly unless we blocked the window with something. Hotels should make a stay feel seamless, and I didn't want to sleep in a sauna or have my personal things repeatedly rearranged. I wish I had better things to say.

Vanessa and her team were so kind, and it was a real pleasure staying at this hotel. I'd recommend it for a trip to Greece, especially the Cyclades. Thanks so much for hosting us. All the best!
