We went with the half-board deal and were happy with both the food and the service. The hotel is right by the beach, and only about five minutes from the port by taxi.

The location worked well, right on the beach and close to restaurants. You can use the beach chairs and umbrella, though I didn't love the stretch of beach by the hotel. Walking a little farther and paying gets you a much better beach experience. The pool staff were really pleasant. The rest wasn't great. The place had a hospital feel, the front desk was rude, and the rooms and bathroom looked very dated. The bathroom felt suffocating.

The balcony view was good, and breakfast was okay, but I found the hotel expensive overall. Lunch and dinner had very little choice, and half board didn't get us much. We also had to keep buying water in the heat since there was none complimentary in the room. They charged us 3.5 euros for a second coffee shortly after breakfast had ended, even though the coffee dispenser was still working. When we complained, they gave us coffee from the coffee maker instead. A couple we know cancelled more than 24 hours in advance and Booking.com told them they'd receive 50% off, but the hotel said it hadn't been notified. The toilet seat was loose and fell off, so I had to bolt it back on. The toilet itself is in such a tight spot that it isn't comfortable for a bigger person.

The location is convenient, with plenty of shops nearby, a bakery and motorbike rentals close by, and water sports rentals about a three-minute walk away. The beach is across the road. Downtown is a 25-minute walk or a 6-euro cab ride. There are two parking lots, the pool is okay, and the views from the rooms and lobby are stunning. The cleaning staff did an amazing job. The room let it down. There was sometimes an unpleasant smell, though it didn't last long. We stayed four nights and only had hot shower water once. Water pressure was very weak, too. Rooms have a safe and small fridge. There's a gym open from 7 a.m., but it's very small and the equipment is old, so it's not suitable if you have a workout routine.
