We ate dinner at Pantelis Restaurant during each of the three days we spent in Poros on our summer South-North trip in Kephalonia. It sits in the middle of the small promenade. There’s a broad menu of Greek dishes with meat, fish, or vegetables. The fried fish, cuttlefish, and pita bread were excellent, and the moussaka was very good. We also had a good breakfast as part of the B&B treatment at Naiad Studio, run by the same family. Service was courteous and prices about average.

The location overlooking the bay is fantastic. I came for lunch for the first time in seven years and got a warm, genuine welcome and a handshake. The menu had plenty to choose from, service was quick and efficient, and the Greek salad was decent. Club sandwiches were good, and prices were reasonable.

I came on my own today, but they recognized me and welcomed me warmly, of course. My late wife and I had eaten lunch here several times before, though our last visit was maybe six years ago. I ordered vegetarian Gemista, a delicious stuffed tomato and pepper, with a small red wine. It was a lovely meal in a special place.

The wait took ages, and the pizza looked and tasted disgusting. There were little bubbles on the pepperoni. The staff didn’t smile, though the young girl did. I can’t recommend this restaurant.
