Xenios Faros Apartments

The water is great, but it doesn't make up for mediocre food and poor service. The all-inclusive meals come from another hotel, and it seems they cut corners on the food. It's also well below what other countries offer in all-inclusive service. At Faros, there's a horrible sound from some bugs day and night. Housekeeping is supposed to come every two days, if they remember. Their English is moderate at best, and when you ask them to check something, the answer is always that everything is okay.

The location made for a great stay, close to the beach, restaurants, and a good bakery. The kitchen box was there but not well equipped, and the floor had plenty of sand, so it wasn't very clean. The pillows were hard and uncomfortable, and the room had no lighting apart from a bedside lamp. I recommend replacing the pillows and keeping the lightbulbs installed regularly.

Our apartment had a huge terrace full of flowers and a distant glimpse of the sea, and Possidi beach was only a three-minute walk away. Breakfast and dinner were at the nearby Dophin hotel, with a sea view, and we loved the Greek food. For anyone wanting other options, there were beach restaurants and cafes nearby. It was our first time in Greece, after a very difficult year, and we were hoping for a quiet, peaceful holiday. We ended up at Faros apartments after another hotel cancelled our booking, and it felt like fate. We loved every minute. There was also a supermarket that looked small at first but actually had everything, from fruit and vegetables to lovely souvenirs.

It was peaceful and restful here, with lots of trees around to keep the room from getting too hot. The rooms were clean, fresh, spacious, and comfortable. The place is close to the beach and everything else, with parking and Wi-Fi. It felt safe even near the main streets. The receptionist was welcoming and patient, explaining everything with a smile. We were very happy with our holiday and recommend it.
