Xenios Possidi Paradise Hotel

The breakfast was just stale bread, weak coffee, and watered-down juice, and the Wi-Fi kept dropping out. Whenever I asked the staff something, they were dismissive and unfriendly, with no interest in helping. The whole place felt neglected and badly run. I couldn't wait to leave and wouldn't recommend it. Getting to the room was a struggle, since there were no elevators and I had to haul my luggage up several steep, dirty flights of stairs. The hallways smelled of damp carpet, and flickering lights added to the uncomfortable, rundown feel. In my room, the carpet was stained, walls scuffed, and curtains looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in years. The wrinkled sheets didn't feel fresh, and the flat pillows smelled strange. The bathroom was in very poor shape, with cracked tiles, mold in the shower corners, and water that swung between scalding and freezing. The towels were thin and rough and didn't seem properly washed.

The sea was amazing, though that had nothing to do with the hotel. We spent a week there and found the whole stay deeply disappointing. The showers had mold, there was sand in the beds, the service was extremely unfriendly, and the food tasted awful. Drinks were far too sweet and diluted, and seemed fake or tampered with. I strongly advise against staying there. It was a complete letdown.

The area was very quiet, with little to do beyond the beach, and there were no activities for children. Kids couldn't use the billiards because it was 17+ only, and table tennis was advertised but wasn't there. Food was cold, bland, and limited; on some days the kids stayed hungry because even the chicken nuggets weren't good. It was the cheapest, most basic food. I wouldn't recommend it, since you can get much better for the same or less money. The one positive thing is how close the hotel is to the beautiful sea, and it looks nice from outside. The first night nearly made me cry. The old bed squeaked with every tiny movement, so I sometimes slept on the couch instead. The kids' sofa bed was so short that we had to use the coffee table to extend it, so their legs wouldn't hang over.

We had a very pleasant family stay. Possidi and the hotel both have a timeless charm, and the hotel sits right by a phenomenal sea. The food was good, and the frappe was excellent.
