Kamari Beach Hotel

What made the stay special was how welcoming everyone working there was. They were always polite, helpful, and smiling. We spent 11 nights and were very happy with the hotel. Our room had a balcony, AC, a mini fridge, and wifi, and it was cleaned daily. Breakfast had plenty to choose from. The hotel sits right on a lovely sandy beach, where guests can use the free sunbeds and the hotel's wifi. We could walk to three nearby restaurants, and Potos was about 15 minutes away on foot. Taxis can take you to places like Notos, Psili Ammos, or Limenaria for around 8 euros or less. From Potos, buses go to many other parts of the island too.

Being right beside a lovely beach made it easy to spend time by the sea. Kamari was clean and well cared for, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. I had a really pleasant, relaxing stay.

The pool is spacious and quite quiet, and there’s a large parking area. Our room’s air conditioner was powerful, too. Most of all, the staff made us feel at home again with their warmth and willingness to help. Our parents have been staying here for over 20 years, and this time we came as a bigger group. Romilios and Dimitra deserve special thanks for sorting out our difficult requests quickly and cheerfully. The hotel also has a wonderful sandy beach. It’s a delightful place, and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting Thassos.

The place had a good quality-to-cost ratio, with clean rooms, a quiet setting, an excellent breakfast, two pools with a bar, and plenty of pleasant common areas. We hadn’t planned to stay overnight in Thasos, but ended up at Kamari Beach hotel by chance and were glad we did. The hotel opens straight onto what is probably the island’s largest and nicest beach. Ms. Areti, the manager, and the front desk team, Romylos, Dimitra and Maria, were genuinely lovely and made us feel like friends. When we return to Thasos, we’ll stay here again.
