Studios Nautilus III

Thassos is beautiful, but I can't recommend this accommodation. My concerns are with the management's practices, not an assessment of the Nautilus rooms themselves. For what you get, the rooms are definitely overpriced, and the units advertised for three adults aren't really suitable for three. Room service is acceptable. Before paying any deposit, make sure you know exactly which room you'll get. Booking a terrace doesn't guarantee a terrace apartment, and you only find out when you arrive. The place isn't owner run. Three women manage it, but you never meet them. You pay the deposit by bank transfer, then the remaining balance in cash on site, collected by a courier. No invoice is ever provided, even for a Booking reservation. If you ask for one, you're told it doesn't exist. If that's a problem, you can leave, but they keep the deposit. When you arrive, you either take whichever room is available or go home without your deposit back. There are only three apartments with terraces and three with small balconies, and those six are the only ones with a sea view. Only the three “Deluxe” units with their own terrace are truly worth the price. The approach felt unfriendly and unprofessional. You can find much more inclusive offers for the same money elsewhere, and be treated with more respect as a guest. We heard similar complaints from other guests during our stay. They hadn't received what they paid for, but accepted it because they were already there. In my view, this is a matter for the authorities. Unfortunately, practices like this still occur within the EU.
