Sunset Pounda

The staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Having air-conditioning was a big plus, and the hotel is near Punta port, about a 10-minute walk away. From there it’s easy to take the boat to Antiparos, with its lovely street of restaurants, bars, and shops. We rented a car and took it between the islands on the boat over a couple of days.

Eleni and her family were wonderful hosts, always attentive and happy to help. The garden has fresh vegetables they generously shared, and making Greek salad with ingredients you’ve picked yourself is the best. It’s a calm spot with what you need for a restful stay, away from the busy little towns but near the kitesurfing beach and not far from restaurants and shops. We loved the feel of this little oasis and will be back with more people. Eleni and your family, thank you! The homemade lemonade, chocolate log dessert, and tiropitakia were delicious.

The people running the place are really nice, and they sell olive oil they produce themselves. The rooms are clean and pleasant, with quite a bit of space, though the bathroom is very small and basic. We stayed one night before an early flight out of Paros. It would also work for a longer visit if you’re not looking for a luxury resort. Pretty good for the price.

We’ve come back many times over the years. The atmosphere is cool, and the rooms are roomy and near the beach and local restaurants, while still far enough from the crowds. I’d definitely recommend it, five stars in my opinion.
