Daluz Boutique Hotel

The reception service was rude and unpleasant, and the guy gave us no useful information. That alone could keep us from coming back, since we expect more for our money. There are other things to sort out too: breakfast is included, but coffee costs extra, and the beds are so soft that I woke up with back pain. Otherwise, it’s a very nice hotel, almost a 10.

I went by myself after a rough year and just wanted a quiet break, good meals, and time by the hotel pool, with no shopping or excursions. It was exactly the sort of stay I wanted. The food was lovely, the coffee was great, and getting it at half price in the morning almost felt like stealing! The poolside ice cream was divine. Marios and Kyriakos were wonderful and answered every question I could think of. I’d definitely go back.

The beds were extremely soft, and I woke up with a bad back. Lunch service was poor too: only one of the portions we ordered arrived, and it took an hour. We had to carry our luggage up lots of stairs, and espresso at breakfast cost extra. The pool didn’t open until 11:00, and there were no towels for it because, we were told, they were all at the cleaners. The air conditioning setup was frustrating: every time a door or window was opened, it had to be switched on again, and one controller was upstairs. Even the bathroom window had to stay shut, despite it being a separate room that could have used fresh air.

Caroline at reception went above and beyond, and Giorgos the lifeguard was always so kind to us. The bar staff were friendly too, and the service from everyone was exceptional. Our room was clean, breakfast had a very good choice each morning, and we all had a great time. Our child especially loved playing in the pool. I’d highly recommend it for a family stay.
