Jennys Apartment

We ended up finding another place to sleep on the second night, and enjoyed the rest of our time in Preveza. If we’d known who we would be dealing with, we wouldn’t have booked this apartment, although the flat itself is perfectly acceptable when the electricity works. I can’t recommend staying here. We had booked two nights at Jenny's apartment. Her husband let us in, but the next morning the whole flat had no electricity, so none of its facilities could be used. He told us the outage was due to roadworks, said it wasn’t his fault, and estimated power might return around 5 pm. We understood he hadn’t caused it, but expected him as the business owner to help find a solution, perhaps compensation, or at least to apologize. Instead, he came over and spoke aggressively, without seeming to try to help. We tried to talk it through calmly, but felt distressed and unable to manage the situation, so we called our parents for help. At one point he stopped us from leaving until we handed over our passports, which we refused to do. We felt the service during this holiday booking was very poor. When a paid service can’t be provided, a business should have procedures for dealing with it.
