We had a great time, and the service was very good. There’s a lovely beach nearby. The one issue was the WiFi: it didn’t always work properly and sometimes the signal disappeared.

The pool is huge, clean, and easily the hotel's main feature. The grounds are lovely, the breakfast buffet was tasty and well cooked, and staff were friendly and helpful. The room and hotel were very clean too. We had a drain smell in the shower, but staff cleaned the drain and sorted it out. I kept putting nice-smelling stuff down it after that. A new shower hook would help, though, because the current one doesn’t sit properly and you have to hold the shower attachment over your head. The pool bar had Greek salad, chicken nuggets, club sandwiches, and reasonably priced cold drinks. We knew a car was needed and messaged ahead about a moped, which they said they could provide. It wasn't there when we arrived. Reception said it would come the next day, but it never did, and we weren't going to chase them about it. We love walking and had looked up back roads to nearby places. But when we turned right out of the hotel's back entrance and walked for ten minutes, we had to turn back because the properties had very aggressive guard dogs. It was unpleasant and scary. We ended up eating out twice and having lunch at the hotel once during the week, with taxis for the rest. City taxis have a set price, but those called by the hotel charged differently. The ride to taverna Pelagos, five minutes away, was €10, and the return was €8. We chose the hotel for its promise of a peaceful, remote, relaxing stay, and that potential is there. The pool can be calm, but it isn't a private pool. Outside visitors, including large and small families, came in daily, bought coffee and water, and took over the pool. One day there were 15 babies in floats with their mums and dads, and it got noisy. On another day, we had to ask the bar men to stop bats and balls being played behind our sunbeds. It’s such a shame, as this is a lovely place. They aren't even earning from letting the public use the pool daily. There were quiet patches around 2pm to 4pm, ish, but for us, hoping for lazy, calm pool days, quiet walks, and restful nights, the stay fell short. Farm land next to the hotel had a dog barking along with other dogs for about 60% of the night, and a Cockerell started from 5 am onwards. I bought ear plugs on day 4 in Preveza. We kept reminding ourselves it was our first week and we should just relax around the pool. We were away for three weeks, and while writing this, we are now in Parga. If you're a heavy sleeper and want a base for going out to eat or cook, then using the pool after a day out, it could suit you. For a quiet, restful break, it didn't work for us. I'd rate it three stars.

The apartment hotel was hard to fault. It had a fantastic pool, pleasant gardens, and good service from the staff and owner. The rooms were cleaned, beds made, and fresh towels provided every day. It’s a handy base for touring the area, with Preveza five minutes away by car and everything you need there. The beach is 150 yards away through the trees. It wasn’t a fantastic beach, though it could be if it were looked after.

Big rooms, a good kitchen, and super friendly staff made this a lovely hotel for our family of four. The pool is really large and there are plenty of sunbeds. You’ll need a taxi into Preveza town, which costs 8 euro each way.

The rooms are spacious, and there’s a lovely swimming pool to use. It’s easy to reach from the main road, about a 10 minute drive from the city and Preveza’s best beaches. I’d recommend it if you have your own transport and want to explore the area.
