The beach along the Pantokrator area, below the pedestrian street, is sandy with crushed stone both in and out of the water. It doesn’t get deep suddenly, and the water is usually clear with small waves. Since it isn’t organized and there are rocky areas in the sea, it tends to be quieter, though locals come regularly and it’s a good place to relax. Access is by stairs. There are a few shared municipal umbrellas and a shower. 🏖️🌅

Below the playground in the Pantokratoras settlement, about 2 km from the center, rocks form a large pool at this spot. The beach has pebbles, some rocks, and shallow water. If you live nearby, it’s ideal for a quick swim or a relaxed dip.

Pantokratora Beach is an easy walk from the city center and a popular place to cool off and relax in summer. Its clear water and fine sand suit families, couples, and groups of friends. The beach is well organized with sun loungers, umbrellas, and a café-bar, but there’s also plenty of room to lay out a towel. The shallow water is good for swimming and water sports. In the background, the imposing Pantokratora hill and historic fortress frame the view across the Ionian Sea. The scenery is especially memorable at sunset, when the sky’s colors reflect on the water.

When the waves are high at the other beaches, this one is really nice because the rocks act as a natural breakwater.

I didn’t even stop to swim. The place didn’t appeal to me, with rocks and stones almost everywhere and difficult foot access to the beach. I left straight away.
