Lito Hotel

This family-run hotel feels like a time machine to around 1970 when you walk into the hotel and room. Everything looks like it's from the last century, but it's clean and tidy throughout. Each room has air conditioning, the sheets are changed regularly, and my terrace was full of flowers with a sea view. It's always peaceful and quiet here, so you can rest or sleep at any time, day or night. Shops and cafés are close by. Parking wasn't a problem, and there's a small street alongside where I could leave my motorbike without worrying that someone would damage it or that anything would happen to it. The island isn't big, so from the hotel you can reach anywhere by car in no more than 45 minutes. The hosts are very kind and hospitable, and the nightly rate is really affordable, maybe the most affordable on the island. If you're after cheap accommodation and don't need luxury, this is the place.

The people are so sweet, always cheerful, and there are lots of cats around. The hotel feels old in an authentic, warm way. Rooms are spotless, with sheets as white as gum. The windows have shutters, so the room can go pitch black if you want, which is perfect for sleeping. The AC works really well, and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. I'll definitely stay at the Lito again when I come back.
