Summer Residence

After our accident on the island, the Summer Residence team kept checking on us, arranged a taxi from the hospital, brought breakfast the next morning, and made sure we had what we needed. Their kindness and care went far beyond what you’d expect during a stay. The place itself had everything we needed, but I’ll remember how they supported us most. When you’re travelling in a difficult situation without anyone to turn to, it can feel overwhelming and stressful. Their warmth, communication, and genuine concern moved me to tears. Some places are nice in exchange for something, but Summer Residence’s team was simply kind. Thank you from my heart. I’ll always be grateful ❤️

The rooms and view were nice, though this is a complex of several villas, so you won’t have the place to yourself. In our villa, two of the four bathrooms had door problems. One door wouldn’t close at all, and that bathroom also had no soap. Hot water was a recurring problem throughout our week because the tank was small. One night we had no water for two hours, but after we called the agency, they sent a water tank at 11:00 PM. We also had a morning without electricity.

The sea views are stunning, and there’s plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the weather even when all the apartments are occupied. The apartment itself was clean, welcoming, and had what we needed for a few days. Sleeping was less comfortable: the mattresses sit on solid concrete, so they’re hard and don’t breathe. We didn’t use the second bedroom, but both single beds there had damp linen. Milos had a two-day power outage while we were staying, which made things very uncomfortable. Some useful update from Athena Travel would have been welcome. I had to call on the afternoon of the second day, and was told to be patient.

I loved the bungalow at SUMMER RESIDENCE, the sea view, and the beautiful garden with its old trees. Thanks so much, Athina, for such a great place. I’ll be back!
