The Pounti

Mrs. Stamatia and her husband were so kind that I wouldn't write anything negative even if there had been something. She's a very dignified, warm, and hospitable lady. The location is ideal for exploring southern Chios, which has excellent beaches and is the best part of the island. I hope the family issues get sorted out. The breakfast was very good, and Mrs. Stamatia was always willing to help. She and her husband have restored this old house while keeping its architectural features intact. Staying in such a warm, thoughtfully kept place felt like stepping into another era. Even if you don't stay here, it's worth taking a walk through when you visit Pyrgi. I hope we get to come back.

The southern part of the island, with its mastic villages, is beautiful, and our stay at To Pounti made the trip even better. This little hotel in Pyrgi is picturesque, full of antiques and memories of local life, with the feel and scent of another era. Our room felt like a peaceful scene from a book or film, and everything was clean and good quality. Mrs. Stamatia, the owner, is kind, caring, cultured, and unassuming. Each morning she brought us a homemade breakfast with fresh, simple ingredients and lovely flavors. She listened to us and shared stories, too. What more could you ask for? Thank you for making our trip so much better.

Chios and K. Toula have a place in our hearts now, and we definitely want to return. K. Toula is such a kind, homely lady, and she makes a wonderful breakfast entirely by hand. The guesthouse is inside the castle, with distinctive rooms beautifully decorated in stone and wood. There are three lovely patios with flowers and bamboo lounges, all arranged with good taste.
