Hotel Orizontes sits high on a hill, visible from the harbor where cruise ships arrive, with nearly 180 degrees of open sea view from its terrace. We loved the balcony and the room, too. It’s a bed-and-breakfast hotel, but my wife and I gave the whole experience full marks. Pyrgos was our next stop in the Peloponnese region, in the Elis area. Elis matters to my family and me, as I came to discover later, and I’m sure we’ll return a few more times. The drive from Kalamata to Pyrgos was enjoyable, passing olive trees, the seaside, and tourist villages.

Breakfast on the quiet veranda was a lovely experience, with a smile everywhere you looked. Ori, the rescue dog, is another reason to come back. The rooms are elegant and spacious, very clean and quiet, and the view is amazing.

The owner is very friendly, and we were satisfied with the whole stay. The hilltop hotel has fantastic views from every room, with the sea all around. Though it was built 11 years ago, it still looks brand new. The construction and materials are impressive, and the rooms were clean with all the necessary amenities. We plan to visit again.

On our road trip arund Greece, this was easily the best place we stayed. The little hotel has large, clean, well-furnished rooms and fantastic views. Breakfast was excellent, too. Make time for the huge terrace overlooking the Ionian sea, especially with a coffee.

The hotel’s location worked very well for Olympia, and we had an Ionian seaview. We spent a fantastic 3 days at this boutique hotel, watching the sunset each evening. Service was professional and friendly, and the buffet breakfast was excellent every morning.
