Joanna's apartment is right by Rafina's main square, less than a five-minute walk from the harbour. That was perfect for us with an early ferry to the islands the next day. My wife, our 11-month-old, our 3-year-old, and I stayed there for one night and had a great time. The one thing that bothered us a little was the bar below the apartment. Since we were there Friday to Saturday, the music was quite loud until 4 am. We were all tired, though, and fell asleep anyway. We could definitely recommend Joanna's apartment.

We come back every time we leave Rafina for the Cyclades. After a two-hour flight and a half-hour bus ride, it's lovely to be welcomed and have a good taverna so close to the room before heading to an island the next day. The food is good, and the welcome is much appreciated.

The apartment was nice and clean, which is a shame because the shower water was cold. We also had a sleepless night: the small square below is packed with bars, and the nightlife felt like being in a nightclub. Seeing earplugs on the bedside tables made it seem like this noise is a regular thing. It's fine for a one-night stop if you have a morning ferry from Alba.
