Such a relaxing place, with sunny evenings out on the balcony and a great view. The apartment was big, comfortable, and well equipped, and the hosts were great. Honestly, I just wanted to stay in all day.

The apartment has plenty of space and the essentials for a few days, plus a large balcony overlooking the sea and a fantastic sunset. The view is unbeatable. There's no AC, but with the place on the cliffside, opening the door and window creates a nice breeze through the apartment. You'll need a car, and parts of the road are exposed and a bit hazardous. Take it slowly, especially at night, since there are no streetlights. The shower area is rather small, so water can end up everywhere. A cable line runs in front of the balcony and gets in the way of the view a little. It's not a big deal, just annoying to look at. The price per day was great value. Bring cash, though, because the owner doesn't take digital payments.

The apartment was recently renovated and felt new, with everything we needed. We loved the breathtaking view, and the owner was very helpful with tips about places to visit. Ravdoucha Beach is amazing and just a five-minute drive away. It's rocky, so bring flip-flops. By car, Kissamos is 20 minutes away, Chania takes 30-40 minutes, the airport 45-50 minutes, Falassarna 40 minutes, and Elafonisi an hour and ten. Kissamos is where the ferries leave for Balos, and we found all those drives quite manageable for a stay in Crete. One more lovely sight was a small church in the rock, with a little bell tower on the opposite hill and an ancient washhouse below. It's a very evocative place of pilgrimage. I'd definitely go back 😀
