Ravdoucha Beach Studios

We spent a week here and will most definitely return. For simple living, quiet, and nature, it's hard to find anywhere better in Crete. The apartment isn't fancy, but has the basics, a good mattress, efficient air conditioning, and a clever triple door setup with a mosquito net, regular door, and blackout door. We loved falling asleep to the waves and waking to goats crossing the beach on their way to the cliffs. The cicadas put on a concert every day, too. The beach is full of beautiful pebbles and rocks, and there's a natural pool that works well for all kinds of swimmers, including children. Watch your footing, though, as some areas are slippery. The taverna menu is simple, but the food is fresh and tasty. Eating in the shade of the trees with the beach in front of you is a treat. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. It's a perfect place for sunsets, and sunrises too if you're an early riser. Don't be put off by the access road, but it can feel a little scary if you're not used to mountain roads.

Sleeping to the sound of the waves was a priceless part of this stay. Ravdoucha beach Studios sits right by a small pebbly beach, ringed by rocks, and was one of the most relaxing places I've been in Europe. It's a real seaside break, away from crowded beaches, restaurants, and shops. The studios were clean and comfortable, and the owner was great. We arrived in the middle of the night, and he was there with the keys.

A wonderfully secluded place, with spectacular scenery and clear water that's perfect for snorkeling. The apartment was very clean and had all the essentials. Nikos was a super nice, helpful host, and the tavern nearby was very good.

We chose this quiet place in Crete to get away from everything, and were delighted with our choice. Our studio was simple but spacious, with everything we needed. We recommend the upstairs apartments for the view. Our little daughter even had toys waiting for her. The beach is intimate and uncrowded, and there's an atmospheric taverna next door. The owner was kind and helpful. We loved having breakfast with a view of the sea and cliff, then falling asleep to the sound of the waves. It's also a good starting point for visiting Falasarna beach, Balos, Elafonisi, Chania, or the mountains. Thank you!
