Evagellina

We’ve stayed at Evagellina Studios three times now, and we’ll keep coming back whenever we travel to Rethymno. It’s hard to write a review because I don’t want this gem fully booked when I return, but it wouldn’t be fair to keep quiet when we’re this happy. Anna is the sweetest, always helpful and full of good advice. The service feels like a 5 star hotel. The rooms are just a stone’s throw from the best part of the beach, handy when you need to pop back to the toilet. They’re so clean you could eat off the floor, with daily room cleaning and fresh towels. There’s everything you need and more: a well-equipped kitchen, good fridge with freezer, ice cube tray, water bottles on arrival, fresh fruit, strong-shower pressure, and good air conditioning. The large balcony has a sun umbrella and washing lines, plus there’s a washing-up bowl for laundry. Real value for money, so book early, it’s popular.

Over my 4 nights here, the warmth and care from the team made the stay memorable. Everyone was friendly, open-minded, and welcoming, and it felt like a home away from home. We had genuine conversations on all kinds of topics that I’ll remember fondly. The stay itself went smoothly, and they were helpful with recommendations for local sights, good restaurants, and hidden gems around Rethymno. The room was immaculately clean and refreshed regularly. One of my most prestigious and memorable hotel experiences.

The location is hard to beat: supermarkets, gift shops, restaurants, and the biggest and nicest beach in Rethymno are 2-3 minutes away, while the old town is about 10 minutes on foot. The sea is just a minute away, perhaps two if you walk slowly, and we could see it from our room despite having only a “half sea view”. The room was big enough for two, with a lovely kitchen area, bathroom, and a huge balcony almost as large as the apartment inside. It was one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. Anna was so kind and helpful with whatever we needed. My friend Brigitta and I can’t wait to return. The one small downside for an Italian is that there’s no bidet. Otherwise, we had a very clean, comfortable stay, with kind staff and wide, well-organized rooms cleaned every day. The internal balconies are large. The beach is close, clean, and relaxing, and you can get an umbrella and sunbeds by paying for a drink at a restaurant. The old town is fairly close too. Thank you!
