Hamam Oriental Suites

Right in the old town, so it's easy to get wherever you want to go. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, with plenty of room to relax in Rethymno. The in-suite hammam was perfect and so relaxing.

We came here for our honeymoon, flying out a few days after our wedding. The hotel had loads of charm and character, and proudly shared that it used to be an old Hamam spa, something still reflected in its look and feel. Our room was clean, quiet, and cool, with a comfortable bed and a jacuzzi bath that was great for relaxing. They also provided free water and toiletries. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the central Rethymno location was perfect. I'd highly recommend it.

Breakfast comes in Cretan, Greek, French, Turkish, or English styles. Each had delicious fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, yogurt, and bread, enough to keep you full for at least 8-12 hours. The staff were lovely, helpful, and willing. We spent a week here and really enjoyed it. There are only five or six rooms, each clean, comfortable, modern, and distinctive. Some have a kitchenette, outdoor patio, or even a sauna. It's a cosy, intimate little hotel with a big heart, right in the old town where there's lots going on. If you have a car, safe public parking is a 5-8 minute walk away. I highly recommend it and expect I'll return one day.
