The breakfast was outstanding, and the rooms, which are really suites, were comfortable and very clean. The swimming pool is very small, the main drawback, but the water is kept clean. It’s lovely to see the sky and rooftops while swimming, especially early in the morning. Though this is a four-star hotel, the atmosphere and service feel five-star. The receptionists, manager, cook, and chamber maids all made us feel completely at home. I’ve never felt so welcome somewhere where I barely understand the language. The manager and receptionists all speak very good English.

Breakfast was a treat, with lots of tasty options, and the restaurant was spotless and a lovely place to start the day. For my husband’s birthday, they surprised us with a huge, delicious chocolate cake at breakfast. It was so thoughtful, and we were really touched. We spent three nights here and had an amazing time. The hotel is cozy and welcoming, and the staff were very kind and polite. It’s about a five-minute walk both to the beach and to the charming old town. We’re so glad we chose it and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Rethymno.

We stayed in the deluxe suite, which was very spacious and comfortable, with a little kitchen, an iron, a kettle, and a free safe. Breakfast was nice, with eggs, fruit, and pastries. It's a good hotel close to the sea. Special thanks to Anna at reception, the nicest and most helpful person ever.

One of my favorite hotels on the trip. I only wish I’d booked a longer stay. They even gave me a gift at check-in.
