The setting made this stay: the villa feels secluded, with a lovely garden and pool, yet sits right at the edge of a pretty town with a great taverna and mini market. Manolis was a huge help, sharing excellent taverna tips and day trip ideas. Rethymno is only a short drive away, and jet skiing and scuba diving are nearby and good value. The villa itself is lovely and distinctive. A big thank you to Manolis! Wonderful trip for me, Sophie and the family. Best wishes, Tom.

After a day out, the pool was great for cooling off, and the arch outside gave us a lovely shady spot to eat. The host was very welcoming. The villa also worked well as a base for visiting places like rethymno, melidoni, and the armenoi valley.
