That leafy roof with sunlight filtering through it, the hidden inner courtyard, and all the little bits and pieces around the place make it such a delightful, eclectic spot. We were utterly charmed. It'd be worth paying for even without the excellent Greek salad and perfect panacotta!

The wonderful dishes are part of the pleasure here, but the quiet is what makes the place special. Tucked away from the city's bustle, it feels like a rare little refuge. The leafy canopy and thoughtful details have a character of their own, and you can sense the care and hard work put into it.

We've been to Rhodes many times and tried plenty of great restaurants, but we genuinely think the authentic dining experience from Apostolis and his team is the best on the island. Expect to spend under 100 Euros for two for fresh produce cooked by one of the island's best chefs. If you're fussy, need a menu, have a food intolerance, or are otherwise a miserable git, go to McDonalds instead...

The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are friendly. Yannis, the owner, is a nice guy and serves the food too. Ask him what he recommends, and save room for the mastica cream dessert. It's incredible.

Angelas Castle is a lovely little taverna hidden in the old town, with wild vines overhead in a really atmospheric courtyard. We came in for a break from the swarming, busy streets and had the best moussaka, with some Jazz music too.
