Athena Hotel

We were only there for one night while travelling onward, and the hotel was well organized. The room, toilet, and everything else were very clean; the beds were comfortable too. There was also a pleasant pool area where we could relax. Thank you, and best regards.

The staff at Athena were amazing and helped with every request. They even gave me a small birthday present and complimentary wine in my room. Stamatia at reception was an absolute delight, and the cleaning team tidied my room every morning. I slept really well, thanks to the comfortable, clean room and good soundproofing. Breakfast was included in the price, which was convenient, and there are loads of little shops and restaurants nearby. The beach is only a couple of minutes away. I absolutely loved my stay and couldn't recommend it more.

The location is lovely, close to the beach, and both the reception staff and housekeeping ladies were very friendly. My room was nice, with a comfortable bed, and breakfast was delicious. Towels were changed every three days. Parking nearby is limited because there are lots of cars. The bathroom needs renovation, and the plumbing is very loud. You can hear the upstairs neighbour flushing the toilet.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of choice and both hot and cold drinks. The staff I met were lovely and helped make the stay great. I'd return to Athena, but only if I booked a new room. I was there for three nights in October 2025. At first I was given a room with no working AC, a shower that flooded the bathroom floor, and no coffee or kettle facilities. I asked for a kettle and got one. After an uncomfortable hot night, I raised the problems at the front desk. They said the AC in that room had been switched off for the off-season by an external company, which seemed very odd, and said someone would check the shower drainage. They then moved me to one of the newly renovated rooms at no extra cost, which was great customer service. That room was perfect, with working AC, a lovely shower and bathroom, a very comfortable bed, and tea and coffee facilities, just as I thought I'd booked at first. Without the room change, this would have been a two-star review.
