Atlantica Princess Hotel

There was just one thing missing from the full English breakfast: mushrooms. Otherwise, I had a great holiday from start to finish. I use a mobility scooter and found the smooth surfaces made everywhere safe and accessible. When I broke my glasses, the manager went into Rhodes to have them repaired and brought them back to me. Such a nice guy. I’d feel safe visiting on my own and may well do so in future. The outdoor areas were beautifully maintained, with pleasant views and lights in the evening. There were plenty of sunbeds and quiet spots, as well as pool games if you wanted them. Food choices were extensive at every meal, suited all tastes, and were cooked and presented very well. Staff welcomed us warmly, helped carry our luggage, and kept everything clean each day. Thanks to everyone for being so attentive and friendly. You’re great ambassadors for the hotel. Anyone who can find fault here must be very hard to please.

We had a brilliant holiday and came away with great memories. When we went out for the day, the staff even packed us lunch because we'd be back too late. A lovely touch. The food was delicious, with loads of choice. Everyone was friendly and eager to help, and Anita, the Restaurant manager, made time to chat and helped us feel welcome. The hotel was clean and tidy. I'd fully recommend Oceanis Park Hotel!

We took the bus from the hotel to Old Town and found the location satisfactory. The hotel promoted Prestige Travel, which would have cost 29€ for the four of us. The bus was 2.50€ for adults and 1.50€ for children, one way, so it was almost half the price and didn't tie us to booked times. The beach is all cobbles with no sand, so it won't suit anyone looking for a sandy place to lounge, though it seems ideal for paddle boarders. The water is crystal clear. 👌 Our room was very clean on arrival, with useful air conditioning and comfortable beds. The pillows were too short and thick for us, and the balcony was small, facing the staff accommodation instead of a garden or pool. The pools were small and a bit cloudy, with too few deck chairs. The canteen was okay and the buffet food edible, but nothing special. Staff were friendly and helpful as expected, but housekeeping fell short. They swept and changed towels, but didn't clean our used tea cups, remake the beds, or replenish tea and coffee. The coffee creamer was lumpy, so we had to buy milk at the local supermarket. I also wasn't happy that all-inclusive service ended at 23:00. It shouldn't be limited by time. The self-service pumps close at 17:30, pushing guests to the bar in the foyer.

The location is convenient, near the beach and a short drive from the old town, and the rooms were clean and organized, though storage space was limited. The restaurant staff were mostly pleasant and professional. I did notice a few younger staff making inappropriate comments and gestures about guests, exchanging looks and smirking after a woman walked away from a conversation. The food was a real letdown for us. Quality varied, but most nights it was bland. Pork was tough and dry, and chicken had little flavor. The local dishes seemed frozen or made from food left over from previous nights. Desserts were mostly whipped cream under different names and flavors, with the same two supposed cake types that were really flavored cream with only a little cake. There were also various jellies, baklava, cannoli, and cream flavors that reminded me of what I ate in Turkey five years ago. The bar staff were unfriendly, often on their phones and visibly irritated when taking orders. At the blue bar snack point, pizzas were available, but the chef's reaction to a simple mix-up was over the top. There were two containers, a small brown box and a piece of cardboard to fold around the pizza. My partner didn't know the brown boxes weren't for pizza because the other snack bar used them for everything. The chef clicked his tongue at her and pointed her to the other box, clearly annoyed. I'd look elsewhere if you want to really enjoy your holiday.
