The beach was one of the best parts of our holiday: excellent, only a short walk away, and almost private. The loungers were comfortable, and the umbrellas gave excellent shade, so I could spend long stretches resting by the sea, which I especially appreciated late in my pregnancy. We had a wonderful stay overall and are sure we’ll return. There were some room problems, though. A connecting interior door separated us from the neighboring room instead of a proper wall, and the sound insulation was so poor that we could hear everything they said and did. Several nights and early mornings were unpleasant. One time, noise from next door woke me at 4 a.m., and I couldn’t fall asleep again. The curtains also let in a lot of light. Better blackout curtains would improve sleep and comfort. The location has tradeoffs. The hotel is along a road lined only with hotels and resorts, so there’s little to do nearby unless you rent a car. A bus stop is right outside, but buses to Rhodes Town either didn’t arrive on schedule or were full and wouldn’t stop when we wanted to go. We had to take taxis both ways, which cost much more. Without a car, you’re also limited to tiny mini-markets around the hotel, with very high prices and poor selection. We couldn’t find even fresh fruit. On the other hand, the meals were outstanding, both at the beach bar and buffet restaurant, with high-quality food, plenty of choice, and lovely presentation. The staff were attentive, friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The positives outweighed the things that need improvement, and we left with wonderful memories.

The birthday cake waiting in my room was such a lovely surprise and made the day feel even more special. We had a wonderful holiday at Elysium Resort & Spa. The hotel is beautiful, the atmosphere was amazing, and the service excellent. Everyone was kind and helpful. We’ll remember this stay for a long time! 🩵

We had a really chilled stay, and even when some sunbathing spots, especially under the trees, filled up faster than others, we could always find somewhere by the pool or sea. The views over the sea and the pool, which changes colour under the lights in the evening, were beautiful. We chose an elite room and loved the extras: a bottle of wine in the fridge when we arrived, chocolates on the pillows, and a great sea view. The elite lounge was quiet and relaxed, with free snacks and drinks. Our room was clean and serviced regularly, and all the staff were approachable, friendly, and helpful. There were plenty of places to eat. They were a bit pricey, but the food was good quality, and breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. We also really enjoyed the evening entertainment. So much to like here, and I’d highly recommend the hotel.

The staff made our two-week trip incredible, and the hotel and service were fantastic. Manolis, the Service Manager, went above and beyond with everyone. Manuel waited on us many times and was fantastic too. He also looked after my daughter’s bracelet for quite a while until we came back for it. Thank you to everyone, from the Bennett Ben Hur family.

We loved Manolis, the service manager. He’s a key reason the guests stay happy and the staff stay organized. Dining at Emerald restaurant meant endless food options, and the pampering and guest service were amazing. Our premium sea view room #2117 had just been remodeled and was gorgeous, with views of the pool, landscaped grounds, and sea. The property is beautiful. This resort is definitely 5 stars.
