Ibiscus Hotel

The sea view room was stunning and worth paying extra for. The hotel is beautiful, well kept, and has a lovely atmosphere. The experience was great overall, though the food selection was a little small.

The hotel staff were nice and helpful, and the location is convenient for restaurants, shops, the port and the beach, all within walking distance. I wasn’t fully satisfied with our room: it was described as newly renovated, but several parts looked the opposite. The room was cleaned okay and the bed was comfortable. We felt a bit cold on the first night, but the air conditioning controls were locked so we couldn’t switch it to heating. The elevators are slow, and when the hotel is full you may wait a few minutes.

Good value for money, you get what you pay for. The rooms are basic and a bit tired, but clean and adequate. Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from, and the staff were attentive and professional. It’s a good 15-minute walk to the old town. Staff also serve food and drinks at the beach restaurant across the way.

We chose the outdoor restaurant at Ibiscus Hotel near Elli beach because nearby Azul restaurant bar was charging a lot, with salads at 20 euros and beers at 8-10 euros. At Hibiscus the prices were reasonable. We paid 45 euros for a veggie dip, cheeseburger, fish and chips, half a litre of retsina, a small beer and a coke. The setting was pleasant enough, though not right on the beach. Service was friendly, efficient and fine. We’d happily eat there again.
