Island Dreams Rooms & Suites

The host was very kind and ready to help. When we arrived, he suggested good places and beaches to visit. We also loved sitting on the lovely balcony and taking in the view. The place was neat, clean, and had everything we needed. It's hard to beat the location in Rhodes town: both sides of the coast are close, and the old town is only a 7-8 minute walk away. Even so, it's on a quiet street away from the noise and crowds. Highly recommend!

The location near the old town was the one good thing. Our room was on the fourth floor, but the elevator only went to the third, so we had to carry our luggage up the last floor, despite the listing saying there was an elevator. The room had two separate beds instead of the one large bed described. When I raised it with the owner, he was rude and said the hotel had no double beds, and that if we didn't like it, we could leave. Unacceptable. Other rooms, such as one on the second floor, were very small, with a tiny, unusable bathroom.

The host was very kind, and we're thankful for that, but our room by reception and near the toilet was awful. There were no windows for ventilation, and moisture came from the bath, air conditioner, or shared toilet through the neighboring wall. We spent the night among huge American cockroaches and their babies, plus blaps and centipedes. We couldn't sleep and changed hotels the very next day. Having to look for another place and move with children and luggage ate into a short holiday. I really wish the host hadn't put us in that room with its whole insect family.

Vasilis was a great host and gave guests really helpful guidance. The location is great too. The bathroom, though, is quite small and hard to keep dry.
