Lito Hotel

The pool area was nice, and there was a bus route into town that took about 15 mins. It's right on the beachfront, just across the main road. My room was dated but good, and it was made up every day with fresh towels. Lockers at reception were handy for bags when you have a later flight. There were some downsides. Steps lead up to reception, the road nearby caused some noice, the shower didn't drain properly and had som mould, and the lift was very small. There was only a pool bar, so nowhere indoors to relax in the evening. We booked B&B and tried breakfast at about 10ish, but the food had been out since breakfast started and we didn't go back. Chips came with every meal. I also ordered a baileys at the pool bar and noticed the bottle had been opened before and left on the shelf in 26 plus heat. It's listed as a 3 star hotel and had been recommended by a Tui rep. I wouldn't stay again, though I still enjoyed the holiday despite the negatives. I've attached a few photos.

We got a free upgrade to a sea view room, and the views were stunning. The balcony was a bit tight for two, though. Housekeeping were very friendly and happy to leave extra supplies if you didn't want the room cleaned. There were several things that bothered us. Staff could be a bit rude, you have to rent a kettle, and they wouldn't give us a second key even though we planned separate trips one day. The food wasn't really for me, but I'm fussy, so I can't hold that against the hotel. The pool is only open from 11-6, which felt pretty crappy because using it meant staying at the hotel all day. There's no swim-up bar either, so you have to get out to order. The neighbouring hotel's music completely drowned ours out and kept us awake until the early hours. The room had a fridge with complimentary water, but just one plug on one side, meaning two people had to use the same bed to charge their phones. The lift was tiny and absolutely wouldn't fit a wheelchair, and I couldn't find any disability-friendly entrance. I'd 100% return to Rhodes, but I'd choose another hotel.

It's a handy spot, near the beach, a bus stop for the old town, and shops, bars, and restaurants on either side. The airport road between the hotel and beach was busy, though zebra crossings were there. We had good entertainment at the hotel three nights a week. Our basic room had what we needed. The balcony at the front had a nice pool and sea view, while balconies at the back looked close onto walls and roofs. Staff were friendly and helpful. The main drawback was the lack of wheelchair access to reception. I also had to carry my suitcase up steps when we arrived.

We hated our stay. Although we'd paid for a sea view, our room looked out at the bins. The hotel was really noisy, the food was terrible, and the bathrooms were shocking. We paid all inclusive but ended up eating out every night. Trying to get a different room was a nightmare. There isn't much around either. I wouldn't go back even if they gave me a free holiday to Greece.
