Mitsis La Vita Hotel

The room was kept neat and clean, and having a fridge plus a few complimentary condiments was handy. It was quite small, though, with so little luggage space that we put our suitcase under the bathroom sink. The décor also felt dated, but that didn't take much away from the stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, especially Michael at reception. The beach is only a few metres away, and guests have a small pool and sunbathing area. Breakfast was enjoyable too, with eggs and omelettes made to order and tasty homemade crepes.

We had a great stay and will come back. The staff were brilliant, from reception to the lovely women who looked after our room, and everywhere was very clean. Breakfast was the best, with loads of choice. The hotel is opposite the beach and near the airport bus transfer stop. Turn left and it's a 15-minute walk into town, or turn right for a longer stroll along the beach road. Either way, you get to know the area. There’s a nice terrace for sitting in the sun with a drink or reading a book.

After a two-day storm before we arrived, we were sent to a local hotel for the night. The transfer went smoothly, and when we returned to The Mitsis La Vita the next day, we found we'd been upgraded to a superior balcony room with half board added at the sister hotel Mitsis Petit Palace. Despina, the faultless head of the front office, then arranged another upgrade. We ended up in a sea view suite. It made a fantastic base for our holiday 😀

The staff are brilliant, and I'd stay here again. It's about a 10-minute walk to the town centre, a lovely route on a warm evening. The fridge is a nice touch. There could be more plugs so we could charge a phone and still have the lights on. Maybe add more TV channels or connect the TV to Wi-Fi so we can use Netflix.
