Mulberry Suites

We lost the last night of our booking because I couldn’t face sleeping in that bed again. We’d traveled for five months this year, and it was the worst bed of the trip: a cheap, soft, sagging mattress that left me with back pain and barely let me sleep. We booked somewhere else for much less. I wouldn’t use a booking platform with no reviews again. The check-in was a mess. The property has no sign, so even though we’d confirmed the room was ready, we struggled to find it. After three calls and a long wait, someone came to bring the key. They apparently had to do that every time, and I still don’t know why they hadn’t sent clear directions when I contacted them. The agency managing the place made it feel unloved. The WiFi barely worked. Simple searches sometimes loaded, but WhatsApp calls and Netflix were out of the question, making the TV pointless. There were no pods for the coffee machine, so we bought some, only to find the machine didn’t work. The drains smelled a bit, too. Noise from the nearby club fortunately stopped by midnight in October, though in season it goes on until 4 a.m. Worst of all, a bedside light had a dangerous switch that came apart when I touched it, exposing live wires. That could have been fatal. I messaged the company, but they didn’t acknowledge me. Don’t be taken in by the old Google reviews. This place has clearly gone downhill.
