Panorama Hotel

The staff really make this place lovely. They're absolutely brilliant, and the restaurant and bar are nice too. Food is cooked to order, so it doesn't sit around getting cold. We stayed for two weeks in May and June last year and loved it enough that I've just booked another stay for later this year. It makes looking forward to the holiday even better, knowing we'll be back at this great hotel.

The staff give the place a lot of its charm. They're cheerful, hardworking and helpful, and the atmosphere is friendly, with everyone seeming happy. Stavros the barman is a gentle, friendly giant, and Pablo and his team are always attentive and ready to help. It's a low-cost, basic hotel, but it has pretty much what you need. It's close to the Old Town and the motorway south, with plenty of parking. The pool is always clean and tidy, and the food is really good and inexpensive. It's not brand new or plush, and it isn't five-star, but it's clean, honest, comfortable and welcoming. Well worth the price, and I'd recommend it. Thumbs up from me!

The studio was small but adequate, with most of what you might need. The shower was a little cramped, and housekeeping came daily except Sunday. It's a fairly basic hotel, but the staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a decent selection of good food, and the pool is on the small side but clean.

The food was excellent, and the staff were great. Big Stavros was there to sort out our drinks at the bar in the evenings. We stayed for a week with friends in the apartments, which are separate from the main hotel. Both the hotel and apartments feel a bit dated. Rhodes town is about a 20-25 minute walk away, over pretty uneven pavements, which is normal enough in Greece. We had a good stay.
