Santa Maria City Hotel

Rhodes was great, and I’d definitely stay at Santa Maria again if I return. The hotel was clean, the rooms spacious, and the beds comfortable. It’s near the city center, old town and beach, with lots of restaurants, bars and shops close by. Breakfast was very good, too. The staff were friendly, especially Alexandros at the front desk, who was always suuuper helpful, polite and welcoming 💖

We stayed as a family and found the rooms spacious and the hotel clean. The location is excellent, breakfast adequate, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Andreas Taverna is just 100 meters away and is a good spot for dinner. I recommend the hotel.

The location is amazing and breakfast was decent. The room had what we needed, though it wasn’t very clean: there was dust on the coffee machine and the spoon hadn’t been washed. The bathroom was the bigger problem. After a shower, water covered the whole floor and ran out into the hallway because the room door had no sill. Towels are changed every few days, even when dirty. Personally, I think that’s a good thing.

We were quite happy here in the end. It’s central in Rhodos city, close to the beach, shops and restaurants, and there were no pubs or party places outside, so it was quiet. The room was big and had good AC. The staff were really nice, too. When I got sick, they offered me tea and more. There were a few other little pluses, but nothing worth mentioning. Cleaning was inconsistent. For two days the room wasn’t cleaned, towels came only every second day, and after the third day we never got another floor towel. The stairs weren’t cleaned either, not sure why. For the first three days the AC was so noisy it made sleeping difficult, though they fixed it. Breakfast was okay but there wasn’t much choice, and there’s no pool 😑.
