The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino

The staff were very friendly, and there are great amenities and facilities. We had a great experience overall. Restaurants need booking, especially on busy days. I think the price is fair, with things about 20-25% more expensive than you’re probably used to. Still, two charges really struck me: 3 euros for bottled water, though you can ask for tap water, and 10 euros for a souvlaki, which is downright offensive. Everything else seemed fairly priced to me.

The staff made us feel welcome throughout and were always warm, friendly and ready to help. We loved the private-pool room and all the relaxing time we spent there in the sun and privacy. The resort’s pools and jacuzzis were lovely too, and the spa left us feeling refreshed. We also had fun playing tennis on the perfectly maintained courts. Every meal was full of great flavours and fresh, high-quality ingredients. Our stay at The Westin Resort Costa Navarino was incredible, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

We paid 1000 euro per night, so I expected a much better vacation. After I raised these problems with guest relations and exchanged several emails, the only response was an apology and points on the Marriott application. We got no real compensation. I stayed five days with my family. The internet didn’t work unless I paid 10 euro per day, and dinner was fully booked at the hotel restaurant on multiple evenings. I had to beg for a table, and twice we ended up eating outside the hotel or ordering room service. The website said the outdoor pools and water park were heated, and I called a week before we arrived to check. They weren’t heated. One rainy morning, which the forecast had made predictable, we had to ride in an open hotel car for about 10 minutes to have breakfast at a nearby hotel. For a 5 stars resort, this was a disappointment.

Getting around the huge resort was easy thanks to the shuttles, and the staff were kind and helpful throughout. There were plenty of pools with towels and lots of places to sit. The beach was clean, peaceful, and beautiful, with towels, a kiosk, and friendly staff there too. The kids loved the water slides and children's pools, and I enjoyed the spa and gym. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a big selection of food and desserts. The resort itself is gorgeous, with a range of rooms, including some with private pools. My only small complaint was the lack of drinking water. I had a fantastic time and highly recommend it for a fun, relaxing vacation.
