Sami View

Vicky and her partner put a lot of work into the rooms and grounds. They’re a lovely couple, and we loved everything about Sami view during our seven nights together. It’s quiet and peaceful, with bars and shops a short walk away. I recommend it and would stay again.

John and Vicki made our honeymoon stay feel special, from the welcome bottle of Kefelonia wine and Kefelonian biscuits to the parting gift at checkout. They also gave us lifts into Sami to pick up our scooter and back when we returned it on our tenth day. The cats coming by each morning when we opened the shutters were a treat, and I used the outdoor shower by the pool on our last day. They really go above and beyond, and the whole place is kept immaculately. Fresh towels and linen came every three days. Our room had everything we needed: a proper comfy double bed, not two singles pushed together, a double balcony, coffee machine, fridge, cooker, and toaster. We hired a scooter to explore the island and were glad we did. Sami is a fair but doable walk, about 20 minutes, or under five minutes by car or scooter. It’s a 35-minute ride from Argostoli, 10 minutes from Antisamos beach, and five minutes from Sami beach. The area is beautiful, with restaurants, shops, bakeries, and cafes. We’ll book again next time we’re in Sami. You can book direct with John and Vicki and avoid third-party broker fees. If you want self-catering, we can’t recommend Sami View enough. Food and drink cost less than back in the UK, so even with flights it worked out better value for us to eat at different restaurants each day than to take an all-inclusive or half-board hotel stay. We also got to experience real Kefelonia hospitality.

Getting a taxi back after walking to town or the beach was easy and didn’t cost much. Sami Views exceeded our expectations, with comfort and attention to detail that showed how much Vicky and her husband care about their guests.

We made wonderful memories on our nine-day trip with friends. Vicky and John went above and beyond, and the apartments were so clean, with lovely extra touches. Vicky brought out homemade lemonade, ice creams, and bottles of water so we wouldn’t have to carry them. They also drove us into town a couple of times while we got used to the friendly, reasonably priced taxis. Sami is beautiful, the people are so friendly, and there are lots of nice places to see and eat. We’d definitely recommend it and visit again.
