Plaza Resort Hotel

We chose this hotel for a team event with international guests from all over the world, and the experience exceeded every expectation. We were lucky to find space for such a large group, and everything was flawlessly organized and delivered to a high standard. The location is stunning, the beach is beautiful, the food was exceptional, and the meeting rooms were well equipped. The team activities were engaging too. Vana was our main contact during planning, and her responsiveness, professionalism, and attention to detail were unlike anything I've experienced before with hotel event coordination. Thanks to the whole team for making the event such a success. We're looking forward to coming back for the next one!

We came from Abu Dhabi with our team for the Neon Cup, where I was an assistant coach, and our experience at the Plaza Hotel fell far short of what you'd expect from a five-star hotel. Athens was beautiful and the staff were polite, but there were constant complaints about the kids just being kids, which made things tense. At checkout, we were hit with charges we hadn't expected, including a €250 deposit we'd never been told about and €20-30 for used towels and bathroom sheets that were simply dirty from normal use. What shocked us most was the manager saying we were no longer welcome. That felt completely unacceptable and unprofessional for a hotel claiming to be five-star. Coming from the UAE, where hospitality is held to a very high standard, this experience was nowhere close.

The beach was beautiful and well maintained, and staying right beside it made for a relaxing holiday at the Plaza Resort Hotel. We enjoyed the water sports, with different activities easy to try and charge to our room. The atmosphere was welcoming, and I'd recommend the hotel for a beach getaway. Getting a taxi was a real challenge, though. Book early, get their WhatsApp, and message to confirm pickup times. Booking one was nearly impossible, waits were frustrating, and other guests often took taxis at the main exit before they got to the designated pickup area. Even with that hassle, I would still recommend the hotel for its excellent beach and the convenience of charging activities to your room.

I had rooms reserved for my wedding in July, and this resort is now my favorite place to stay when I'm in Athens. The bellhop Giorgio and event coordinator Vanna were among the people who made us feel so welcome, and I'm pleased with everyone. The rooms were clean, the lobby spotless, and the breakfast buffet had unlimited food. Restaurants and bakeries are within walking distance too. Thanks to everyone who made our stay so accommodating. I can't recommend the resort enough, and we can't wait to return!
