The Seahorse

We left early because it was the most uncomfortable stay I’ve had. I’d been taken in by the good reviews that focus on the nice exterior and friendly staff. I don’t understand why so many are positive because it’s a family business. Most Greek businesses in the area are family run, but that shouldn’t excuse poor accommodation or service in 2025, or mean guests have to rely on goodwill. The room felt neglected inside. There were no mosquito nets, despite mosquitoes being everywhere, inside and out. The old windows wouldn’t shut properly, so it was noisy indoors. Our room faced the main road, and cars, trucks, and motorcycles kept us awake all night. The mattress felt like sleeping on the floor with a rug on it. I’ve never had a bed that uncomfortable, and I couldn’t tell whether it was old or just very poor quality, probably both. The pillows were very thin, like bags of socks. The bathroom was old, rusty, and moldy. We had hot water for about five minutes, then none, so we had to rinse with cold water. There’d been no investment in making the inside of the room comfortable. If you don’t have a car, the location is also terrible. Nothing is close enough to walk to, and with no sidewalks, walking around feels dangerous, especially after dark.

Nikos and Elena are the kind of hosts you hope for, 11/10. They really care about making your stay pleasant and have their hearts in the right place. The apartments are a 9/10 and the pool is a 10/10. A few small improvements are still needed, and the hosts know that and speak about it openly. They’re genuine and have a great vision for green Oasis. It’s already a really nice place, and I’m sure it’ll be one of Corfu’s best accommodations in the next couple of years. The prices are fair. I almost hesitate to say so many good things, in case it’s hard to find a room when I come back to Corfu in a few years. 🤫🤩

The hosts were kind and always available, and the facilities were well cared for, including the big pool and bar. The apartment was comfortable and had everything my boyfriend and I needed. It was great value for money, and we loved our stay at Green Oasis Apartments. The beautiful, relaxing area made it a perfect escape. We hope to return soon!

We spent three nights here a week ago, me and two friends, and loved every bit of it. The place was peaceful, the pool was really warm, and the grounds were well kept. There are lovely beaches nearby, with a strip of shops and restaurants about a five minute drive away. The owner welcomed us with a drink and sat down to chat while our room was finished and cleaned. The staff were so attentive, checking in every morning and evening and stopping for a conversation when we were at the pool or heading out. Beds were made daily, towels folded and replaced, and the facilities were always clean. They made us feel like part of the family, and their company was as lovely as the room and surroundings. We were there only eight days after opening, and they were upfront about the work they still wanted to do and the facilities that weren’t fully working yet. One night they invited us to sit with them at the pool bar, and they also let us check out late because our flight was late. We’ve said we’ll be back next year to see the planned work.
