Lorraine's Cottage Style Studios

Evangelia was such a kind and helpful host, and we had a fantastic time at Lorraine's Apartments. The view across the bay around Lourdata is stunning from the room, terrace, and pool, especially at sunset. A heads-up if you stay here: there are four very bold, adorable kittens around. They’re sweet, but they’ll be curious about you and whatever you’re eating, so it helps if you like cats.

Our studio was comfortable and roomier than a typical hotel room. It had a kitchenette, toaster, washing machine, and a lovely patio where I had tea each morning. Evangelia also left us bread, croissants, turkey, cheese, milk, and eggs. The shower took a few minutes to heat up, but the pressure was adjustable and there was plenty of hot water for a long shower. There’s a shared pool, and friendly neighborhood cats would sit on our laps while we were on the patio. We stayed about a week with my partner and had a pleasant time. Evangelia was quick and easy to reach on WhatsApp, welcomed us on arrival, showed us around, and accommodated our requests. She made us feel like family. The beach is about a 20-30 minute walk downhill or a 10-minute drive. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a place in Kefalonia.

A lovely little stay, even though this review is very late. It felt personal and well cared for, with a family running the place and paying attention to the details. We even left with a bottle of their own harvested olive oil. (Oct25)

The staff were friendly, spoke English very well, and cleaned my room every day. I stayed in a lovely, spacious villa with everything included: a studio-style bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and washing machine. There were welcome treats waiting when I arrived, and the pool looks out over Lourdas Bay. It would suit a family holiday, a couple's break, or a solo trip. 10/10.
