Apartments Despina

We found this to be such a relaxing spot, and our kids had great company in the family’s two little girls and boy. The family running the place were so welcoming. There’s a clean little pool, plus a snack bar for coffee or a meal, tidy restrooms, a shower, and swings in the small playground. Our best find in Corfu this year! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Christos and his family were the highlight for us. He had lots of useful tips on beaches and places to see, and even offered to answer questions after we’d moved on to another place. The locals, including the priest, drop by for a drink and a chat, which gives the place a friendly feel. Apartments Despina is a handy base for seeing the island and good value. Our room was spacious, neat and clean, with the basic kitchen things we needed. There’s a small pool where we never had trouble finding sunbeds, and a bar and kitchen area. The breakfasts are especially good value. We had a great stay and would book again if we return to Corfu. Many thanks to Christos and family!

We spent 11 lovely days at Apartments Despina. Christos was a great host, and we enjoyed the food, drinks and pool. For three weeks in June 2015, my wife, our two children and I stayed at Despina. Christos, who’s also sometimes called Costas, and his family made us feel very welcome and did all they could to help guests enjoy their time. It’s an easygoing place, and if you don’t have a good holiday here, you need help! The food was excellent, from poolside bar snacks to traditional Greek dishes in the evening. Christos clearly takes pride in the place and works hard to keep it in great shape. I often saw him cleaning the pool late at night, after everyone had gone to bed. Our kids loved splashing around with local children and walking Hermes, Christos dog, through the beautiful green countryside. The rooms are basic, but had what we needed. There are only about nine rooms, so it never felt overcrowded, and Despina was a great base for exploring Corfu. You really need a hire car to get around easily, though Christos can arrange one and probably help with other things too. My wife and children loved it, and I did too. A wonderfully relaxing holiday.
