The staff looked after us from the moment we arrived, and Ioanna was especially kind, attentive and helpful. It’s a stunning setting, with a small town and larger towns close enough to have things to do, though I’d recommend getting a car. The rooms are gorgeous and the food is phenomenal. I can’t recommend this place enough, and I’ll definitely be back.

The room faced the back of the hotel, where the view was poor. The area looked abandoned and overgrown, so the balcony didn’t feel usable, and it wasn’t what I’d expect at this price. We stayed seven nights. The hotel is nice, the staff are very friendly, and it’s peaceful throughout, which was perfect for relaxing. I really loved how quiet it was. The pool areas are clean and well maintained, and the pool bar is handy for an iced coffee or another cold drink. Sissi itself doesn’t offer much to do, so although the location is good, you’ll want a rental car to explore nearby towns and sights. Breakfast was included for us. It was okay, but the same each day and got repetitive after a couple of days. Some food seemed to be reused from the day before, like the cut tomatoes, which didn’t look freshly prepared. Twice the milk in the bottles was stale and smelled off. I told staff both times and they politely replaced it, but for the higher price I expected more consistency. We had access to the gym in another building, about a five-minute walk away. We were told it opened at 10:00, but found out by walking past that it actually opened at 07:30. The gym felt overcrowded with machines and weights that looked as though they’d been taken from an old gym that no longer needed them. The equipment was old, rusty and cheap feeling, and the air conditioning barely worked, so exercising felt like being in a sauna. We also found out about the yoga sessions ourselves by looking around. No one told us what activities or other offerings were available, so communication from staff seemed lacking. The à la carte menu was very limited and overpriced, around £50 per person. We didn’t order because it didn’t seem worth it. You can get much better quality food in town for around £50 for two, so we ate in Sissi instead. I did like the hotel and think it has potential, but communication, breakfast quality and the gym facilities need improvement. As it stands, I think it’s overpriced for what it offers. If I come back to Sissi, I’d only stay here again if there were a very good deal.

We got a room upgrade with a jacuzzi, which was a nice surprise. The room was spacious, though there wasn’t much hanging space, and an iron is available if you ask. Breakfast had enough variety, including eggs cooked to order in five different ways. We enjoyed the food and drinks from the pool bar, which serves during the day. The pool area was quiet during the day, and there was no one at the bar in the evening. The hotel is beside the beach, which is rocky, with no sand or stones, and has a few sunbeds for anyone wanting a change from the pool. The staff were very friendly. The local shop is a five-minute walk away, and bars and restaurants are about ten minutes away.

We came with my wife at the end of the season, when there were probably no more than 20 people there. It made for a really quiet, relaxing visit. The room was clean and serviced daily. Breakfast was simple but good, and we ate elsewhere each evening because we wanted to explore.

The staff team were happy, helpful and amazing, and the Greek food in the evenings was superb. The hotel is in a quiet area, about a 15-minute walk from the charming Sisi port. Couldn’t fault the place. Can’t wait to come back 👏👏
