Akti Toroni Boutique Hotel

A big plus for us was the EV charging, which the hotel offered at very good rates. It made the whole stay really convenient, and we were pleased with the experience. We’ve stayed at five-star resorts and can be picky, but this place met and exceeded what we expected. The rooms were spacious, though the furniture layout wasn’t ideal, and the cleaning was thorough. The employees were all friendly. Breakfast had plenty of options and was okay, as was the coffee, though it wasn’t great. Many tables had a sea view. Sunbeds and umbrellas by the hotel were free, with plenty of places to sit and no crowding. The sea was turquoise and crystal clear, shallow for the first three or four meters and then quite deep. The sunsets were lovely too. Outside visitors had to order €30 of food and drinks to use the seats, so there weren’t many of them. Beach towels were available with a €10 deposit. For a nearby meal, we recommend Leon tavern.

I’ve visited Greece every year, but this has been my most disappointing stay. I chose this so-called four-star hotel after seeing the room photos online. The room I got smelled awful, and there was mold all over the bathroom. What they charge for what you get is unacceptable, especially since the photos seem to show only the newly renovated rooms, which looked modern, clean and beautiful. I paid €150 for my room and will attach photos of it. After two days, both my partner and I got food poisoning, which ruined the holiday. Looking at recent reviews afterward, we saw other guests describing similar problems. I’ll never recommend this hotel.

The staff all around the hotel were friendly and helpful, and having a section of beach with sunbeds was nice. But for the price, the quality fell short. Our room had pool access, though the pool was dirty, with green algae on its walls. The room wasn’t clean either, with dust and dirt buildup, especially in the bathroom, where there was also mold. Breakfast was very basic and didn’t taste good.

This was our first stay here, and we were very pleasantly surprised. Everything was clean, the rooms smelled nice, and the pool was cleaned daily. All the employees were kind, positive and ready to help. I especially want to thank the manager, whose name I didn’t catch. When my pregnant wife, eight months along, mentioned the pancakes she’d seen at the buffet the day before, the manager went straight to ask the chef to make them for us. And thanks to Sonia in the spa, who gave my pregnant wife and me massages. She was warm, cheerful and professional. This is the first and only hotel in Greece where we’ve liked everything.
